The goal of Operational Development is 100%
staff and department functionality on
patient move day.
Operational Development plans and
redesigns for the relocation of an organization's current
services, as well as the development of new services.
Department operations is a strong focus to ensure that physical
changes to the department and facility design are incorporated
into each department's operational plan. Licensure and JCAHO
requirements are identified, reviewed and included during the
transition process. Policy and procedure revisions and
development for the new facility is a major focus. The
Department Planning Tool is a guide designed to assist managers
with developing their new operations plan. It also helps
identify equipment, design and utility issues that could impact
department operations and functionality.
